This song went through several changes. At first it was something I was working on with David McClymont, but then it got remixed and altered after I had a strange dream. I dreamt that Paul Haig had just been told someone he’d worked with had died. This prompted him to jump up and belt out the most amazing sub-Frank-Sinatra number to the stunned room. Then there was a video shown of a ship on a sea glittering in a golden sunset, and we were played another track from a forthcoming Paul Haig album which was to be called Reach. It had a girl singer who sounded a lot like the singer in Mikado, Pascale. And the track had that Mikado / Antena early ’80s Crepuscule feel. Now the song, remade under the influence of the dream, sounds like something off the Bibliotek album. So it’s really “parallel”.
